Education
Dr. Conelias earned his undergraduate degree at Temple University where he was a four-year Letterman on the football team as well as Team Captain. He then went on to earn his dental degree in a four-year program at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill’s School of Dentistry. Following completion of that program he spent a year at the graduate hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in a General Practice residency. He went on to complete a comprehensive four-year residency program at The University of Kentucky’s Chandler Medical Center, where he earned his certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Training & Expertise
Dr. Conelias is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This is achieved by the successful completion of the written and oral examinations provided by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which is the highest possible academic distinction in the field of oral surgery. He is also Diplomate of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia, a member of the ADA, VSA, AAOMS, and the Tidewater Dental Society.
Dr. Conelias is certified by the state of Virginia to offer intravenous anesthesia. Additionally, he’s certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (CPR). Also, he maintains memberships within various professional dental and oral surgery associations, which helps Dr. Conelias stay abreast to the changes and recommendations within his profession.
Background
Dr. Conelias resides in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach. He and the love of his life Lori are the proud parents of the “4 C’s”, Connor, Cade, Cole, and Cynthia. In his free time he enjoys going to concerts and sporting events, playing golf, and spending time at the beach.
Dr. Geoffrey Schreiber
Meet The Doctors: Dr. Geoffrey Schreiber
Education
Dr. Geoffrey Schreiber is a native to Virginia Beach. He went to First Colonial High School and then attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University for his undergraduate degrees. At Virginia Tech, Dr. Schreiber graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a double major in Spanish. Inspired by his father and mother, Dr. Schreiber decided to pursue a career in healthcare going on to graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Schreiber and his wife moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he completed his residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University Hospital. The residency program at Emory provided Dr. Schreiber with extensive knowledge and skill in dentoalveolar and implant surgery, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, maxillofacial trauma, anesthesia, and diagnosis and treatment of pathology. Dr. Schreiber is certified by the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons to provide in-office sedation in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and maintains his status as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support). He is privileged to provide care through DePaul Medical Center and Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. He is proud to be a part of the Bon Secours and Sentara Healthcare Systems. He is an active member in several local and national dental and oral surgery associations, and attends regular continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest techniques and recommendations within his specialty.
Background
Dr. Schreiber returned to the Tidewater area following completion of his training to be near family and to provide care to the Hampton Roads community. Katie, his wife, was also born and raised in Virginia Beach, and is a practicing Veterinarian in the area. They have a son, daughter, and two dogs, who they love to take on adventures. During Dr. Schreiber’s free time he enjoys going to the beach with his family and friends, playing guitar, and spending time outdoors. Dr. Schreiber is a proud to be a partner at Eastern Virginia Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and looks forward to meeting you.
Jesus M. Gonzalez DDS, MD, FACS
Meet The Doctors: Dr. Gonzalez
Education
Dr. Gonzalez graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of North Texas in July 2004. He attended dental school through the Navy Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP) scholarship program and graduated cum laude with research honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in May 2008, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was also inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. In May 2013, Dr. Gonzalez earned his Medical Doctor degree from UTHSCSA, completing a one-year internship in general surgery and general anesthesia in July 2014.
Background
Dr. Jesus M. Gonzalez was born in Juarez, Mexico, and raised in El Paso, Texas. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a dental technician for five years. Inspired by his experience in the Navy, Dr. Gonzalez pursued a career in health care. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant and returned to the fleet as a general dentist at Camp Pendleton, CA, before completing a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2009.
Dr. Gonzalez then began his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 2010, working under renowned surgeons Dr. Edward Ellis III and Dr. Daniel Perez. After completing his residency in 2016, he served in Okinawa, Japan, where he was the dental battalion surgeon, credentials chair, and department head of the OMS department. He also achieved diplomate status from the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2018.
Dr. Gonzalez’s subsequent roles included providing surgical coverage aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) and training OMS residents at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth OMS residency program. In 2019, he was assigned to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) as Deputy Director for Dentistry and Associate Program Director for the OMS Residency Program, later becoming the Department Chair of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He was recognized for his dedication to surgery, academia, and ethical standards with a Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons in 2023.
Dr. Gonzalez retired from the U.S. Navy after over 25 years of service. His special interests include trauma surgery, TMJ surgery, reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, implants, and dentoalveolar surgery. He is happily married to his wife, Amy, and enjoys spending his free time with his three children, Selena, Malachi, and Skyler.

Infection control in our office is one of our highest priorities. To protect our patients and ourselves, we enforce strict policies to maintain sterilization and to prevent cross-contamination. We use standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Additionally, our office has passed stringent testing by the AAOMS and by the Commonwealth of Virginia to ensure that we’re caring for our patients in the safest possible environment.
