Education
Dr. Trent Conelias earned his undergraduate degree at Temple University, and went on to earn his general dental degree in a four year program at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill’s School of Dentistry. He then completed a comprehensive four-year residency program at The University of Kentucky’s Chandler Medical Center, where he earned his certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dr. Conelias is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This is achieved by successfully completion of written and oral examinations and is the highest possible academic distinction in the field of oral surgery.

We attend lectures, meetings, and conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern oral surgery office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art care. Dr. Conelias is certified by the state of Virginia to offer intravenous anesthesia. Additionally, he’s certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (CPR). Also, being members of various professional dental and oral surgery associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.

Infection control in our office is one of our highest priorities. To protect our patients and ourselves, we enforce strict policies to maintain sterilization and to prevent cross-contamination. We use standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Additionally, our office has passed stringent testing by the AAOMS and by the Commonwealth of Virginia to ensure that we’re caring for our patients in the safest possible environment.
