Meet Dr. Geoff Schreiber, OMS

A Virginia Beach native, Dr. Geoffrey Schreiber has deep roots in the community he now serves. After graduating from First Colonial High School, he attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and a second major in Spanish.

Inspired by his parents to pursue a career in healthcare, Dr. Schreiber continued his education at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. After dental school, he and his wife moved to Atlanta, where he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Emory Healthcare.

His residency provided extensive training across the scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dentoalveolar and dental implant surgery, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, maxillofacial trauma, anesthesia, and the diagnosis and treatment of pathology. Today, he continues to expand his knowledge through regular continuing education focused on current techniques and recommendations within his specialty.

Dr. Schreiber is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also certified to provide in-office sedation in the Commonwealth of Virginia and maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Dr. Schreiber is privileged to provide care through Sentara Princess Anne Hospital and serves as a consultant for Sentara Healthcare Systems. His professional affiliations include the Tidewater Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association, Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He has also served as president of the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, reflecting his ongoing involvement in the specialty at the state level.
